Approval Workflows
How to use AccredLeap's approval workflows to review and finalize accreditation documents.
Overview
AccredLeap includes structured approval workflows to ensure every section of your accreditation document is reviewed and approved by the right stakeholders before final submission. This replaces the typical cycle of email attachments and lost feedback with a transparent, auditable process.
Workflow States
Each document section progresses through these states:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Section is being written or generated — not yet ready for review |
| In Review | Section has been submitted for review and is awaiting feedback |
| Needs Revision | Reviewer has requested changes — returns to the editor |
| Approved | Section has been approved by all required reviewers |
Submitting for Review
- Open the document section you want to submit
- Click Submit for Review
- The section status changes to "In Review"
- Assigned reviewers receive a notification
Reviewing a Section
Reviewers can:
- Approve — Mark the section as meeting accreditation requirements
- Request Revision — Send the section back with specific feedback
- Leave comments on specific passages within the editor
Approval History
Every approval action is logged with:
- Who acted (reviewer name)
- What action was taken (approved, requested revision)
- When the action occurred
- Any comments or feedback provided
This audit trail serves as compliance documentation for the accreditation process itself.
Notifications
Team members receive notifications when:
- A section is submitted for their review
- Their section receives feedback or a revision request
- A section they authored is approved
Best Practices
- Review in stages — Don't wait until all sections are complete. Review sections as they're generated.
- Use inline comments — Point to specific text that needs attention rather than providing general feedback.
- Set clear deadlines — Communicate review timelines to keep the accreditation timeline on track.
